The Combined Regions (TCR) is an organisation set up to enable co-operation between UK libraries at both a strategic and operational level.  It is a company limited by guarantee.  For more than eighteen years, TCR has been working with its partners to support resource sharing between libraries in all sectors.

Personal data collected:

We collect the names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, organisation names and positions of our partner organisation contacts; event participants; and our suppliers.

We collect information on access and dietary needs of event participants to ensure our users can enjoy equal access to our services.

Data is used for:

  • Administering membership records and subscriptions
  • Administering and evaluating our events
  • Administration of ordering goods and services
  • Mailings news, opportunities and events relating to the activities of  The   Combined Regions
  • Any other legitimate activity of the organisation

Data is held by

The Directors, Treasurer and the Secretary

Sharing of data:

Personal data is shared with providers commissioned to deliver our services, in order to administer the services.

All personal data is held and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. It will only be seen and used by the people listed above, who are all bound by confidentiality.

Deletion of data:

Personal data will be kept for two years after the individual interacts with The Combined Regions, in order that we can respond to any subsequent enquiries and check records.  If there are no interactions after two years, the data will be deleted.

Individuals can submit a subject access request to see their data at any time to the Secretary, or ask for it to be removed from the current data list.
